According to Wikipedia, "Eastport is the easternmost city in the continental US". This is a small and beautiful town on the east coast of Maine. I've been there a couple of times, but I have never brought my camera until this summer.
I'm not sure if there is a lot of action is this town, and I believe it relies heavily on the tourists season. But this is the beauty about it.
It is the "perfect" spot for some R&R if you like to be left alone. I've enjoyed coming here for a late lunch, or an early dinner, or just to walk around the harbor and let the sounds of the harbor sooth my soul. (And for the ladies; there are a few interesting shops there too, but that's not my kind of relaxing ;)
I can also recommend the local bakery. A nice place to have your coffee or tea. They also have great selection of cakes, which caused us to overeat this particular day.
