Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, Maine

My apologies for the pause on the blog, but I have taken a much needed break from almost "everything" this summer. When we haven't been on the road, we've tried to spend as much time together as possible, knowing this fall is going to be very busy for all of us. And all this time, blogging has not been a priority for the family.

I took a lot of pictures on our trip to Maine this summer. They've all been post-processed, and I'm ready to share some of them with you.

First off is a few shots from Bar Harbor and the Acadia National Park. I'ts a busy little town in the summer, filled with families looking for a break from everyday life. The streets are filled with shops of all kinds, and you can really shop until you drop here. There are plenty of restaurants her for you to drop-in when the legs can't carry you any further.

I can recommend taking a look just outside the main-street, where you can find beautiful flower arrangements and ruins from the past. And when you're done with the shopping, why not head into the Acadia National Park? We took a trip to Cadillac Mountain, which is rumored to be the place where the sunrise can be seen first on the American main-land. It's not the most eastern spot, but because of it's altitude.

After the trip to Cadillac mountain, we headed down to Jordan Pond for a great lunch. If the weather is great, you cab have a really scenic meal here. If you don't mind waiting for a while. If you're in a "hurry", ask for a table inside. These tables are often available, as most people wait for a garden table.
