Today's preview is from our trip to Catalina Island. Catalina Island is a small Island just an hour boat ride south from Long Beach. There are many ways to get to the Island, but we chose to take the boat from Long Beach to Avalon. The boat ride also gave me an opportunity to take some shots of Long Beach from the sea.
The day started gloomy, but as the clouds gave way to the sun we got to see Avalon in it's beauty. It might seem like Sebastian here got a bit too hot. But we kept him in the shade and gave him plenty of water.
It was a nice trip, and I can certainly recommend it if you are in the area. But might I suggest you stay over night, and dine at one of the many fine restaurants there.
May I also recommend you go out of season as we did, to avoid too many turists in the streets and by the harbor.
