The continuing story of Sleeping Beauty

... Or from now on: The never ending story.... :)

Sebastian's sleeping habits have been the topic of more than one of my posts on this blog. I am probably going to post a lot more about his habits in the future as well, but in this post I am going to focus on some positive events. Sebastian has been sleeping really well for the last 3 weeks, and putting him to sleep is also a lot easier. He's had a few bad nights, but we've figured these nights have been bad due to a cold or teething.

Now Sebastian is put to bed around 6.30 pm, and he sleeps until 6-7am. He usually wakes up once or twice during the night, only to fall back to sleep. I can't say how much this turn of events has made a difference in our lives. Sebastian is a lot happier (and awake) and we are more rested and capable of taking care of him. I can truly say we have enjoyed the last month, and we really start feeling like a family. Gone is the tossing and turning and crying when going to sleep and waking up. Gone is waking up every 30-60 minutes throughout the night. It has been a difficult road to travel, but once we're here it has really been worth the effort. He is really a sleeping beauty now :)

Other developments:
- We can't see any teeth yet, but we can feel them and see traces of them in things he chew on.
- He is not crawling yet, but he is really trying (results: he wriggle himself backwards, to much amusement of his parents)
- When put on two legs and with something to hold on to, he is able to support himself while standing. But his balance is poor, and we need to "support" him. I would not be suprised if Sebastian is going straight for standing up, skipping the crawling idea.
