A quick report from a short trip to Seattle (Part 2)

Leaving Seattle center with the Star Wars exhibition and the Space needle behind us, we dodged the heavy clouds and looked for shelter.

It didn't take long to decide on what to do next. We were hungry, and needed to go somewhere we could get out of the rain. The Pike Marked seemed like a perfect place. And yes, it was.

I don't have all the facts. But we spent somewhere between an hour or two, just walking up and down the market. Soaking it all inn. The halls were busy with tourists and locals. Some were there (like us) mostly to observe, but many were there to do their daily shopping. It was a great mix, and as old as the market might be, it was very much alive.

Much food of course (as it is a farmers market), but also a great selection of arts an crafts and other rarities (books, stamps, records to mention a few). Add a couple of restaurants, and you can easily spend several hours there (requires better shopping skills than I possess ;)

Oh, and when you're out-shopped, or just need a coffee break. Why not pop across the street and pay the original Starbucks a visit. It's probably the most chaotic Starbucks I've ever been to. But their system worked, and I got my souvenirs and a Grande Mocha within reasonable time.
