Rain!

It was bound to happen. We live in Bergen, the "Capital" of rain in Norway (there are places in Norway with more rainy days than Bergen, but nobody lives there). I've tried to avoid the topic in this blog but yesterday we had a really cool downpour, tropical style.

It started with a loud bang (thunder and lightning) and then it was like all the flood gates in the skies opened at once. I ran for the camera (and an umbrella) and tried out some angles and AV priority shots. As it turned very dark during the rain, I had to crank up the ISO way high. The images are a bit grained, but they still look ok (At least I think so, and that is the main purpose :)

Shooting rain turned out to be a lot harder than I expected, but in the end I fell I got the hang of it. Now, all I have to do is to wait for a few months, for another downpour like this one.

(In case you wonder; Yes. I have turned down the Saturation a bit. The images are almost black and white, but not quite. It's a way to "hide" the ISO noise).
