The first wedding of the year

We're just back from the first wedding of the year. There are two more that I already know of. The wedding was held in Loen, Stryn. Loen is a five-six hour drive from Bergen (very traffic and weather depended, as we have to drive through three mountain passes and take a ferry to get there. Not to mention that the road closed today, due to a lot of boulders falling into the road). We decided to make it a special week-end.

The wedding was very special to me, as I was the best man (see previous post about the Stag party). I have known the groom for more than 12 years, and he was one of the first friends I made when we moved to Bergen. He is also one of my closest friends.

Sebastian was as usual smiling and flirting with everybody, and was a joy to bring along. Sadly he caught daddy's cold on the night before the wedding, and he did not sleep very well that night (neither did mom or dad). But during the ceremony he was silent, and very well behaved. We find Sebastian to be very curious about every new situation we put him in, and as long as he is entertained by whatever is going on he is as quiet as a mouse. The wedding was over before he got to the part where he gets bored. It was easy to understand that the week-end was eventful for the little baby, already Saturday evening he was a lot more tired than usual and "demanded" an early bedtime. Mom and dad shared on watching over the baby, and we both got to spend time with the rest of the wedding party.

Sunday was pretty uneventful. We got up, ate breakfast, said our good-byes and drove home. We got home just in time for Sebastian's late supper and bedtime.

I did not have the time to take many pictures this time, as I was best man and/or switched places with my wife next to Sebastian. But I will hopefully have some time soon, to update both Sebastian's Picasa album, and add some general pictures in a future post or two.
